With the Club approaching its fiftieth year since its formation in 1962 we have built up quite an archive of material. This is currently held together with a Austin Seven Clubs Association archives and is constantly being processed and assessed. The archive consists of documents, photographs, CDs and some original Austin literature.
We are always interested in any such material which members or individuals may hold and believe is pertinent to the history of the Club and to maintain and expand this for the future membership.
Please contact the me, Chris Garner, Archivist, either by 'phone, email or post if you have any such material. Many thanks.
Various documents from the archives will be made available as downloads; we will be adding to the list over time. For now, have a look at these three Club rally programmes:
1964 Staunton Harold programme. "A Gymkhana and Display of Vintage and Veteran Cars" being the Club's first major event. This continued to be held at Staunton Harold (close to Donington Park race circuit) before moving to Wollaton Park, Nottingham, in 1972. Download
1977 Wollaton Park Rally programme, this rally later became known as "AUTOKARNA". Download
2011 Autokarna Rally programme. Since 1972 the Club's annual rally has gone from strength to strength. Reknown nationally and internationally it hosts a wide variety of vintage and classic vehicles including Austin Sevens as well as a very extensive Autojumble. To celebrate our 50th, 2012's rally will extend to four days. Download
